Hello Class of '68 Classmates! After I graduated from Pampa High School, I went to college for 4 1/2 years at Texas Tech. I graduated with a BBA degree in Accounting and some graduate hours. I met my husband through my roommate and her boyfriend and we were married the summer before my Senior year at Tech. We moved to Houston after we finished school so that my husband could attend Pharmacy School at University of Houston.
I began my accounting career at Tenneco Inc. and after two years moved to Pennzoil Company. I started as an Accountant and my last position was Manager of Oil Revenue and Royalty Accountant. I left Pennzoil after 15 years and the birth of my second son to become a stay at home mom for 6 years. We raised our sons mainly in the Kingwood area of Houston. It's a beautiful forested area with great schools. When my youngest son started 1st grade, I started substitute teaching for our school district. Later I was called to work for a local CPA firm.
My husband and I are retired now and enjoy bicycling, traveling, and our 2 grandsons(ages 3 and 1). We are members of Second Baptist Church and do lots of volunteer work at the church.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion!!
